Charlestown is a charming 18th century Georgian harbour town, in fact it's the last one which is actually open in the country and it's packed full of charm.

Landing the dingy and walking into the town feels very much as if you've just stepped into the middle of a period drama and it's for that reason that it's featured in many a TV and film production, most notably the awesome TV series 'Poldark'.

The holding is fantastic in sand and there are plenty of great places to go diving too with plenty of reef and fish everywhere.

The Beach infant of Charleston is not dog friendly but there are still plenty of great walks with 'Duporth Beach' only a short walk from town and a great place to let your four legged friend run around.
